The Liebster Award!

Oh my gosh, I'm bowled over! I've been nominated by merelyafreshman for the Liebster Award! (Check out his blog, the Pax Legacy - it's super good!)

QUESTIONS

1. What was the last thing you created?

A lavender bag charm for my backpack. It smells quite nice!

2. What company do you wish would go out of business? Why?

I don't really think I'd ever do that, because even if the CEO is evil, most of the employees are good people, and I live in England so the BHS crash that affected so many families is still fresh for me.

3. What’s the most interesting sounding word?

Sonorous.

4. What conspiracy theories do you actually believe?

Mothman.

5. What was the last thing you dressed up as for Halloween? When was it?

Last Halloween, I dressed up as a La Muerte themed Aradia Megido. It was awesome, I got to take my little cousin around the neighbourhood and we matched (he was a skeleton) so we got twice as much candy.

6. Dinosaurs or Dragons?

Dragons!

7. Mountains or Ocean?

Listen, I love the ocean. It's all good as long as you don't think of what there might be in its lower depths.

8. What food looks delicious but you can’t stand the taste of?

Probably solid icing on cakes.

9. If you could change your name to anything, what would it be and why?

Indigo. It's pretty close to my actual name but I like it a lot better. But I'll be keeping my own name.

10. Do you read for content (i.e. the plot) or language?

I prefer a balance. A well-reading story with good content is sure to hook me!

11. What do you have on your fridge door?

Nothing, as I live at university!

My questions!

1. Cupcakes or doughnuts?
2. Looking forward to Halloween?
3. Favourite Disney character?
4. Play any card games?
5. Do you keep a journal?
6. Candy Crush or The Tribez?
7. Favourite of the Goth family?
8. If you had to live in the Sims world, would you live in Oasis Springs, Newcrest, or Willow Creek?
9. Chocolate or strawberry?
10. Do you like Star Wars?
11. Goats or bees?

The Waveborn Legacy - Series Three, Episode Twelve! (One Nursery, Many Rugs)

Well, readers, this update is quite small, but it carries with it an announcement - I am not going to be updating this as frequently. I've decided that the updates have become very mundane, so I will instead be sharing the best stuff only! This will be the last mundane update, I promise!

So, I've put down rugs in the nursery, to cover the huge amounts of spare space, including matching little rugs for the boys! (They have ladybirds on them, I had to!) I think it's a gorgeous little nursery now.

Violet absolutely adores her very young son, and seems to forever be cuddling him and making sure he's ok. Isn't that precious?

(He loves her very much too, and always gets the Sad moodlet when she leaves the room. D'aww.)

Asriel can climb the stairs now, as I mentioned, and I caught him doing so.

I've also been remaking the house in what I feel to be Violet's taste! So it's goodbye, blue, hello, purple for a lot of things. I think I'll remake the house for each heir, actually! And Mackenzie doesn't seem to mind!

See you whenever!

The Waveborn Legacy - Series Three, Episode Eleven! (Baby Talk)

In preparation for Toby's eventual aging up, the first thing I did after the last episode was expand the nursery and redecorate it with things. The objects do, I must admit, look a little haphazard at the moment, but I will tidy them up. I rather fancy the idea of Dino and the bear where the chairs are now, and creating a little reading corner with a rug - but more on that later!

It seems that the birth of her third great-grandchild (remember, Eloise is a mother too!) has mollified Mariana, as we had a nice ghost-included family breakfast the morning after Toby was born. Charlotte was still asleep, but everyone else was there, and all of them seemed to be having quite a good time!

Rudolph is every inch the doting grandparent to his new grandson as well as his oldest! He was cooing and making silly faces so that Toby would laugh!

However, this woke up Asriel. Honestly, how's a toddler to sleep with all this cooing nonsense?

Asriel then decided he was bored, and started to wander away, something I already have learnt is a bad thing to allow, as he's learnt to climb the stairs recently.

So, in order to amuse him, I not only had Violet teach him to talk (which succeeded!)...

But had his grandmother teach him with flash cards about basic needs! He seemed to like it well enough, and didn't get a negative moodlet from either activity! He's such a little dear when he wants to be, after all.

And a familiar face came to visit - Auntie Eloise! I'm tempted to have Violet and Asriel visit her house soon, as we haven't been there yet, and we don't see Eloise nearly enough. That said, it might also be pertinent to visit Vino and Arianna!

Eloise seemed delighted to see her small nephews, as Toby was asleep in his crib in the nursery as usual and Asriel hadn't wandered far from it. This trick of keeping the little ones in the nursery most of the time is a blessing - not once have I yet had to hire a nanny, and Asriel need only leave the room to potty train or to be brought down to the adults. Soon, enough, he'll age up, and I'll outfit the Totoro room to his liking, but until then, it's pretty much an issue of making sure he's out of trouble. I can never relax around toddlers, unlike Auntie Eloise!

While that was going on, Toby woke up and started crying, so Violet came in to feed him. She's besotted with him, of course.

But she didn't leave without tidying things up a little first. All these toys scattered all over the floor - tut, tut!

Speaking of tidying, Caleb has been finding more crystals and fossils all the time! I even had to get another collection table for the study!

He's not the only one who has been working on his aspiration in the last few days, though - Rudolph has been taking care of the garden when he can, although in all the toddler and baby uproar, we've unfortunately lost a few plants. Ah, well - maybe we can get some good seeds?

And speaking of toddler uproar...not that long after, Toby aged up! Yay!
I'm so happy! He's got his mother's beautiful dark eyes! They go so well with the pale blond hair (no prizes for guessing which parent contributed towards that) and overall, he's a gorgeous little baby!

He's got the Wild trait, which is presumably why Charlotte immediately picked him up and returned him to the nursery. Nope, no playing in the dresser for you, Toby!

Don't worry, though - a peanut butter and jelly sandwich was quickly given to him! I guess his Wildness isn't the only reason she took him into the nursery! (Isn't he cute?)

I'm so excited to see how it will be having Toby around as a toddler!
Until next time!

The Waveborn Legacy - Series Three, Episode Ten! (Fantastic Mr Fox!)

Welcome back, readers, to the trials of having a toddler in the house! Oh, my. We are certainly on the receiving end of the Fussy trait and no mistake.

Asriel still seems to be hungry all the time, and Violet was able to give him some food while it was still on orange..

But when he got bored of it, he just chucked it across the room!

"No son, you can't do that. I mean, I won't be cleaning it up, but you still can't do that."

And guess who was Mr Cleany Clean thanks to his son throwing food?
You guessed it! Caleb not only had to take out the trash...

But also clean up that messy high chair! Ew. Not a job I'd want, thank you!

And on top of all of that, he had to repair the broken castle! Do people just sneak in here and smash it whenever they're stressed? Is that the source of all this unprecedented dollshouse smashing?

Also, I've changed Rudolph's pajamas to this awesome flannel combo. Very, very snazzy, wouldn't you agree?

Also, Mackenzie IS the culprit of the dollshouse smashing.
Look at this dollshouse. It's destroyed. Kenzie, please, you did this when Violet was a toddler. It is time to stop.

Thankfully, Asriel was sleeping too soundly to be upset by his grandmother destroying the dollshouse. So cute!

Violet's been working on her painting again, as has Mackenzie, Destroyer of Children's Toys, and although it doesn't quite get the income that Rudolph's paintings do, every little bit helps!

However, just because Mackenzie destroys toys, it doesn't mean she's not a great nanna. She can persuade Asriel away from the tablet...

...and take him off for yet another snack, even if he pouts all the while.

After all the excitement of the toddler apps, and the food, Asriel was tired, so his father read him a story to settle him down to sleep.

Violet came and tucked him in, once he'd fallen asleep, making sure he was snug and cosy. These two are honestly such loving parents!

Now, a little shoutout to our friends who created the Stellar Stuff pack, over at the Plumbob Tea Society - you can actually read the text on the chart in the Master Bedroom! I accidentally found this out, and I'm so impressed, I just had to show you. I mean, how cool is that? Kudos!

Mariana has been angrily floating around recently. I've no idea what is making her so cranky these days. Maybe not being around Issac all that much is taking its toll? If you have any idea what's causing this, please let me know.

Luckily, she and Mackenzie still get along as well as they did before, so Kenzie was able to calm her down somewhat.

But, it's time for the big news...
Violet went into labour shortly after that! I'd had a crib ready for a little while, so luckily she could just go into the nursery to give birth.

And...welcome to the world, Toby Waveborn! He is, of course, named after Toby Fox! The name suggestion was made by wasabipea, a Goatlings user, to go with Asriel's name!

Charlotte came up to see both of her nephews quickly after. Toby's so tiny in comparison to his brother, but he'll catch up pretty soon. Gulp! We're going to have two toddlers running around! I think I'll wait until Asriel's a child to try for a baby again.

Anyway, given that Undertale's heart logo is red, I went with that as a theme for both Toby's toddler bed...

And also for his high chair! Right next to Asriel's, as you can see!

There were, sadly, no red bear chairs, but there is a monster bear, so I went with that! Awww.

And here is the overall revamped nursery! See if you can spot the other items that have been added in just for Toby!

Now, seeing as we've just had a new addition to the family, it seems like a good time for me to talk about the newest addition to Sims - that's right, the Parenthood Pack! I am so excited for this, and you bet your buttons I'm going to try and get it! It might have to be a Christmas present or something of the sort, but I really, really want it! It looks so cool!

I've also downloaded another Plumbob Tea Society stuff pack, recently, but I'll probably be able to show that much later on in the series!

Until next time!

The Waveborn Legacy - Series Three, Episode Nine! (Circle of Life!)

Well, dear readers, we have been busy once more! It's another short update, of course - and Violet has still not given birth to her little baby, so feel free to keep those names 'a coming!

She has been painting, however, as she needs to be able to paint portraits - and it seems to be going fine!

Speaking of portraits, I caught Mariana haunting the Portrait Room! Maybe she's looking at her family and feeling pride in how things have turned out! I'm certainly proud of how things are going so far!

Caleb is doing very well with his collecting aspiration! Turns out that crystals are too big to sit on shelves, so I've decided to get a table for them, instead! The little crystal is on the bottom bit of the table, as I decided to keep it with the others. Hopefully we get more crystals soon!

It's not just the crystals, either - I decided to use all the shelves for My Sims figurines, and we got two new ones recently! Dr F, and Lyndsay! I'm hoping to complete the collection before this generation hands over to the next, or at least before Caleb kicks the bucket.

We've even got more froggies! He'll complete the Curator Aspiration, if I have anything to do with it!

And thanks to a whim of his, we now have a dishwasher! Maybe I'll even re-decorate the kitchen at some point. Unfortunately, thanks to bills and a few little expansions of rooms, we don't really have the money without going below what I want to keep in bank for emergencies (read: multiple children instead of one).

One such expansion was the kitchen itself, which is now less poky - I mean, we can afford it now! The next such thing will hopefully be the dining room, which is still tiny.

Asriel has been doing alright, although the adults are tired from looking after him, but somehow he's managed to swipe his aunt's Slablet! He has a perfectly good tablet of his own - you can even see it here - but nope, he swiped it! And no one's noticed! Honestly, little man, you can't nick things like that!

I had been so busy, however, with renovations and collections and keeping the toddler happy, that I didn't notice that old age was approaching for Mackenzie and Rudolph! Here's Nanna Kenzie!

I think she still looks absolutely gorgeous, even so!

However, old age didn't prevent her from being up to her usual Dollshouse Destroyer antics! I made her fix it, but both Asriel and Caleb were very sad over it.

Just before bed, Rudolph aged up as well! I guess he and his wife really are very close!  They've both entered the Silver Age together!

One quick wardrobe makeover later, and I present to you Poppa Rudy! Asriel has some of the nicest grandparents around! I kept the slightly Nordic theme to his outfit, and I think he looks very cozy!

Hopefully we won't have to wait too long before the baby comes along! I'm so excited, you guys! I have a little shortlist of suggested names and everything!

Until next time!
